  1. Hi there. So I decided to get a used espresso machine because someone in my town was selling a semi-decent De'longhi Ec330S for just £15. Pressurised basket single & double. Was in decent condition. Ran well. I also did a cheap shot and put some ASDA Italian Style coffee in it. The £1.50 for 227g type (Yes I know I am a tight sod). Anyway it produced a decent shot of espresso. The taste was similar to Nero/Greggs and it was fine for me. I wouldn't know any better anyway I am a common pleb who thinks Greggs is good coffee. Here is a picture of my first effort. And
  2. My first post! For a long time I used a Krups Vivo F880 and not very expertly but I was able to get satisfactory results using Sainsbury's inexpensive Espresso beans ground using my trusty Porlex hand grinder. I generally make double espressos or Americanos and don't usually involve milk in my coffee although my daughter's recent interest means I now make milky coffees for her. The Krups stopped working and has now been replaced by a De'Longhi Icona ECO310BK. I do realise that this is basically an over-priced, pretty, consumer model but I only paid £20 for it second hand and
  3. Hi All, Need some assistance / guidance. I am about to buy my first bean to cup coffee machine and have narrowed it down to the below: De'Longhi ESAM6620 Prima Donna Bean-to-Cup Espresso Coffee Machine http://www.johnlewis.com/de'longhi-esam6620-prima-donna-bean-to-cup-espresso-coffee-machine/p230906935#default De'Longhi ETAM36.365 Prima Donna XS Bean-to-Cup Coffee Machine http://www.johnlewis.com/de'longhi-etam36-365-prima-donna-xs-bean-to-cup-coffee-machine/p483094 What one would everyone recommend getting? Or are they both pretty much the sa
  4. New member, small time lurker but just bought a grinder as I wanted to move away from pre-packed espresso to fresh beans and grind myself. I have a De'Longhi EC152 and this has served me perfectly well with all the pack bought espresso, with a pull time of around 20-30 seconds and a nice crema. However, since buying my Dualit 75015 (upon recommendation) and using the finest grind to load into my machine, it now takes around 60 seconds to pull and there is next to no crema at all. What factors could this be down to other than the grinder (if any)? And if it is the grinder, what are the mos
  5. I am selling my De'Longhi bean to cup machine as it's just not getting the use it deserves - RRP of new is £799 although it usually retails for around £400. Same as model here so you can get all the spec... https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00L6AXP4Q/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Makes really good milk based coffee drinks with no hassle at all. Bought about 2.5 years ago and serviced 1.5 years ago and regularly descaled and cared for. £200 + delivery which will probably be about a tenner... More photos to follow...
  6. My dads KG79 grinder is having problems and we are wondering if anyone knows how we could fix it? It has lost power in the first stage of grinding and takes a while to get enough power to grind coffee, even the light goes off after a second. I have uploaded a video with my KG79 for comparision. On the same setting the machines ground 14.6g (mine) and 9.4g (dads) of coffee. We took it apart to see if anything looked off and gave it a clean. He does not drink enough coffee to want a new grinder so a fixing it would be great. My first thought was maybe there is a problem with one of
