  1. The magnetically attached cup on my Kinu M47 would sometimes fall off in the middle of a grind when grinding light beans. It didn't always happen but it did happen enough that I was getting paranoid every time the cup would chatter during a grind. I think I even made it fall out once just from me panicking - the motion of me jerking it over to the top of the counter was enough to jarr the cup loose and send it tumbling across the kitchen.   2. I just thought i'd share a message for any Lido E (and possibly Lido 2 & 3) owners about an issue I was having and a fix. Sometimes, when grinding certain beans or when grinding large quantities (>30g), the beans would not travel through the burrs and the handle and burrs would just spin without any grinding taking place. This wasn't a big problem as a quick shake would dislodge any issue. I e-mailed Barb from Orphan Espresso just out of interest, and she explained that there is a fix. They've designed a brand new upper bearing to allow more room for beans to pass through to the burrs.
  3. So I ordered some beans from jolly bean and a package arrived promptly. However they were the incorrect beans. I contacted them and received a response nearly immediately. They they roasted and posted out the correct beans and a sampler as a sorry for mixup. Brilliant customer service ! Above and beyond what I expected. I highly recommend giving these guys a go. First go with 1st set of beans and a nice fruity slightly acidic brew. Great !
  4. My Sage Dual Boiler has developed a fault (2nd time) I'm not getting any acknoledgement on their email , and the telephone number is now not manned or dead. Does anybody have any alternate contacts ?

I bought a Bezzera (Tanked version) from Bella Barrista 2 days ago.Today, Rodney, the owner rang me and said he knew I really wanted a plumbed version, so, would I like him to order me one on the order he was in the process of placing, and when it came in,in 4 weeks time, simply swop the machines over.   6. I stopped in at a motorway services to grab a milkshake from a coffee vendor and got unusual service, as the cashier seemed more interested in what was going on behind me.   7. How do you view customers who return a drink or ask for another shot (provided they haven't finished their original ...) ? If I am not happy with a drink I will ask for it to be remade and know of others who do the same. Most of the time I get a smile and a new drink but on occasions I am met with bemusement and the request has sometimes been turned down (lost customer!) because the person behind the bar thinks they know best.   8. I just need to vent and let others know.. I've ordered some greens from RAVE (4,5 kg) and when I checked the content of the delivery, I've found out that there are two 500g bags missing. Also the decaf ordered was not decaf, just normal beans of the same lot. I've contacted them via email 7 days ago to no response. Is there a more efficient way to get them to rectify this?
