  1. ...backpack. In case you haven't noticed Cravendale are doing an offer for a free Kermit the Frog backpack. I've started to collect the labels but as it's twenty labels per backpack and I've got twin girls that's a lot of lattes, caps and hot chocs to get through. So as I know a lot of you also use Cravendale I was wondering if I could get your labels as well? I'll cover costs to post once you have a few. PM if you can help. Jason
  2. Well after some frustrated deal hunting I have been tempted by a demo Silvia with full warranty for £299. PM`s exchanged with SandyKT about the Silvia led me to just have a look and I could not resist and I know that at some point in the future if I do feel the urge yet again it will sell on easily. Half my planned budget so I am being tight and Scottish. Don
  3. Hi sorry I am sure its been discussed before but I didn't hit anything on a quick search. I have a gaggia dose which is broken atm. anyway I am wondering if there are better home machines for steaming milk. I was not particularly impressed this this machine I was never able to get a micro foam with it and I believe (with my machine) it was not possible. I had taken off the frother attachment and gone through the process as shown online without ever making micro foam. So can anyone recommend a better machine that is possible for micro foam. 1 problem I did have the the gaggia ba
  4. Well, I ordered some Cravendale and its not bad. I think the milk definitely had more texture to it. Having said that, I have also started using my Espro Toroid jug (instead of just admiring it) and that definitely is something I would recommend. I have got the 20oz size and whilst the jug is a bit pricey, I think its worth the investment.

    Milk

I have read that the type of milk can make a big difference to the enjoyment of a drink. Is there any that I should avoid and anywhere I can get some information on what types of milk to use in espresso based drinks Many thanks
  6. Ive been making cappucinos for Mrs WD which have been going down well. She prefers them made with UHT milk due to the creamy flavour of the milk. I realise that its all down to personal taste but should she be tried for crimes against coffee or is UHT milk an acceptable ingredient in the world of coffee ?
  7. I've always found Cravendale a very reliable milk. However over the past month or so it's become so thin it's a bit like the proverbial 'knats' I found it disappointing all over the festive season. Time of year does play it's part but I 've never found it as poor to pour as current. I shall be ordering Yeo Dairies semi next week which I find very good.
  8. Cravendale is £1 for 2L at Morrisons this week (in London tv transmission areas at least) Great milk for practising latte art
