  1. New in June and originally for sale by @caramel a short while ago from whom I snapped it up. Then why am I selling it so soon after? An EK43 has fallen into my lap (figuratively) and I couldn't resist its super Perger picture so I folded like a deck of cards and bought it! Due to the fact its almost new its in excellent condition and has had approximately 4kg of beans through it. I understand the Redspeed burrs are rated for 5,000kg (which amazed me when I found out). Has under 250 lifetime shots on the counters and comes fully boxed with all the warranty info. I got it at a bargain
  2. I bought this just a couple of days ago, amazing grinder but the mrs wants me to get a smaller grinder and machine. Bought from Foundry Coffee Roasters and I double checked with Lee that the warranty is transferrable. It's had about 200g of coffee through it, if that. Without a doubt this is a fantastic grinder, comes with 2 hoppers, 800g and 300g. https://foundrycoffeeroasters.com/collections/compak-grinders/products/compak-e8-redspeed-burrs https://www.bellabarista.co.uk/compak-800g-hopper-and-lid.html Looking for £950 to get it moved quickly (hopefully) Collection in La
  3. Hi, I have had my Compak E8 Grinder for sometime now and for the most part, it's an amazing, super quick piece of grinding machinery that presences itself on my kitchen worktop ever so nicely! However, every now and then when I place the portafilter onto the holder to grind, the grinds spray all over the place and not directly into the basket as they 'normally' do. Has anyone else had any experience of this? It's really ticking me off that something of this value is unable to grind into the basket each time, every time! Thanks so much in advance! Ben
  4. Compak E8 some slack in upper regulator, is this normal [video=youtube_share;SQHb9VUxEog]https://youtu.be/SQHb9VUxEog
  5. We are travelling down to the lever day next weekend and planning on taking a small number of Compak E8 RedSpeed grinders with us. These are brand new units, boxed and with full manufacturers warranty. We are planning to use the grinders throughout the day but have decided that we would be happy for these specific units to be sold to forum members attending the day at a special one-off price. More information about these grinders can be found on our website. Please be aware that the grinders are sold on the premise that they are used on the day and they will need to be taken away a
  6. For Sale, my home espresso machine that is used to trial roast profiles on pump driven espresso machines and also provide caffeine fixes at weekends! Machine is lightly used in a domestic set-up and has never seen commercial use. This machine has only ever been fed with BWT filtered water. Selling due to infrequent use and the fact that I now find myself brewing coffee at the roastery much more than I do at home. This is a plumbed only, rotary pump driven machine. The rotary pump is far superior to the vibratory pump in terms of reliability and longevity. This is a solid machine, v
  7. I recently (very recently) sold my mythos and purchased a new (days old then) E8. Upon setting it up I can only say I was somewhat underwhelmed by the grind quality. After reading @aaroncornish posts on his clumping issues and mine being not a million miles off I thought that was just something I'd have to live with, but it was bugging me to the point of annoyance so at a rather sleepless and sweaty (it is hot here that's not a default state 3am I decided it was getting a top to toe cleaning and this was the result! https://vimeo.com/175788862
  8. So, I haven't posted for a while - mostly just enjoying my coffee - but I can't help but shout to say I have a new Compak E8 arriving tomorrow, courtesy of Foundry. Most excited I am, will be proper jumping up and down waiting for the delivery man tomorrow! Tall hopper (for bean column weight) and Redspeed burrs. Any recommendations for how long they take to season? Colin
  9. I've just taken delivery of an E8 from BB with red speed burrs. After running 1.5kg of coffee through I've started dialling in and I'm on about 10 on the scale which puts the adjustment arm around the back of the grinder. I'm not sure if the 0 mark has been set up as genuine zero. I have not got my head around the parallel system yet and I can't tell from the manual, my question is: can you adjust the orientation of the adjustment collar or is it fixed? The manual says it needs to line up with the locking shoe but until I take it apart I don't know if that can be moved as well. Also seems

    Compak E8

Compak E8 OD Espresso Coffee Grinder - Polished Aluminium. I am the first owner and I purchased it August 2015 from Bella Barista. Standard burrs, not the Red Speed. Short hopper. I used it only at home, every day for 2-4 shots of espresso, single dosing only. I want 600£ for it. Personal collection in Newcastle upon Tyne. I can post it, as I kept all the thick styrofoam padding the grinder was originally packed with. However, the buyer will have to organise and pay for shipping via courier that will collect the parcel from my home.
  12. Compak E8. Made Oct 2014, Matt black model, non redspeed, flat 83mm burrs, only done 3,500 shots including purges, I usually get through about 500g beans/week. Small and large hoppers. Very good condition. Bought last June from @jlarkin for £775, I think that Joe bought it from someone else on the forum. More information available on the Belle Barista site. Selling because I now have a Niche and it’s too much of an indulgence to keep both. I live in the Welsh hills near Oswestry, collection or local delivery/meet possible, I can take it to Birmingham New Street stat

    Sold: Compak e8

The time has come to offer my E8 for sale. I will be sad to see it go. It is a fantastic grinder but now I have gone down the Monolith route it seems daft keeping this grinder as well. Purchased from Foundry Coffee on March 28 2017 with transferrable 1 year warranty. It is the Red Speed Burr version and I would say the burrs are now nicely run in. It comes complete with the short hopper, all the paperwork it came with and the original packaging. Overall I would describe it is in ‘as new’ condition. £975 Collection preferred although if you wish to arrange courier colle
  14. Due to a recent upgrade I am selling my trusty setup. Collection only in Newcastle upon Tyne. Compak E8 (previously in separate thread) with the standard burrs: Compak E8, purchased from Bella Barista (August 2015), perfect working condition, still on warranty (until 19.08.2017). I still have an original invoice and a BB warranty card. I would estimate that I ground approximately 30 kg of coffee with it (always light or medium roast, single origins). I am the first owner and I used it only at home. It was my main grinder for over a year and it's fantastic. I am selling it only because
  15. Hi Guys, I recently started a subscription on coffevine which sends me coffee 3x250g beans from different roasters every month and in addition to that i like to get beans from local roasters on my travels overseas. In the past I used to get the same Rave beans which allowed me to keep my hopper down to the same level and didn't have to adjust my grind setting that often. So now with just 250g at a time I need to go through that before i can add different beans. So at the moment i find myself adjusting the grind more and more to get a similar shot to when the hopper "full". So i star
  16. Compak E8, purchased from Bella Barista (August 2015), perfect working condition, still on warranty (until 19.08.2017). I still have an original invoice and a BB warranty card. It was my main grinder for over a year and its fantastic. I am selling it only because I started using my hand grinder (Pharos) for espresso and I want to upgrade my espresso machine. Iberital MC2 bought from Happy Donkey (May 2014). This was my first grinder and I used it for 6 months (2-4 shots a day). Since then it was stored in a cupboard. Today I cleaned it and run some Grindz and beans through it. I
  17. I bought this grinder in September 2018 from Bella Barista, comes with their transferable warranty. This is the version with polished aluminium finish and the 3 dose interface. Comes with the excellent 83mm red speed burrs for lower retention, less friction as well as extended life. I have put 18kg through it according to the counter and these burrs are rated for 3000kg. It has the cupping hopper which holds about 300g. In excellent condition with just some wear from normal use on the portafilter holder. Bought for £1490, l am selling for £1200. I am based in Oxford and would prefer to so
