  1. Hi everyone, I am a new member of this group and just thought I'd say hello and introduce myself. My name is Will and I am the owner of Cloggs Coffee, a small, family run coffee roaster and supplier business based in Yorkshire. I am always looking to learn new things about anything coffee related and I look forward to speaking to you all in the future. Kind regards Will
  2. Morning Guys. Just joined the site and wanted to say hi and introduce who we are. We are a brand new coffee company www.silverbackcoffeeco.com and although only really small at the moment, we have big ideas and ambitions to grow the brand and to give something back. It is no coincidence that we are very ape orientated and this is because for every bag of coffee we sell, 10% from the profit in that bag will be donated to help save these amazing mammals. We like to think that we are a coffee company with a conscience and hope that we can spread the word and grow as a business and really make a difference. Thanks for listening guys !!! Big Ape
  3. Pro musician and coffee addict here! I've been a customer of Hasbean since they started but my love of coffee began in 1970, my then girlfriend was from East Africa and her relatives would send beans over to us, yummy. I'm looking to get new machine and am looking for either another Sylvia or something similar....
  4. Cheers all coffee lovers! I finally decided to sign-up to this forum and share with you. For a long time I have been reading and learning a lot here but "from the outside". I have lately taken up game developement (just to try) and the first idea for a game is about.... coffee of course! The idea for the first game came by itself. From an everyday activity. A morning ritual of making coffee. Every morning I get up and start a day with a freshly grinded V60 pour-over. I use a manual grinder and it happens quite often that my 5-year-old son helps me preparing the coffee. He measures time, prepares the filters and of course - helps me grind the beans. As the grinder has an open bin almost every time one of the beans pops-out of the grinder. At these moments my son shouts out something like: "Hey bean! where are you going?" So let's imagine where the bean goes if we don't catch it and put it back in the grinder... The project is at its starting phase but I would like to share with you (almost) from the very begining. I keep sharing the progress and some thoughts at my social media profiles: https://p3a-plus.blogspot.com/ https://www.facebook.com/p3a.plus https://twitter.com/p3a79629582 https://www.instagram.com/p3a.plus If you have any comments, suggestions or ideas (e.g. what coffee accessories could be introduced to the game) please join me and follow. I am open to know your thiughts and I will be gratefull for any feedback. Cheers! Have a great coffee! p3a+
  5. I'm just curious about what coffee enthusiasts do or did for a living. To start the ball rolling, I used to be a film dubbing mixer. These days I'm a part time technical author. (The coffee helps! )
  6. Hi, everyone I have a new project called Caffeine Treat (caffeinetreat.com) which offers free advice for barista enthusiasts and also sells Coffee-inspired products. I am here to learn more about the art of coffee making, and hopefully offer some help as well as I learn from others. It is great to be here.
  7. I have been diagnosed with a condition that means I can't drink regular coffee. I have looked for low-acid coffee online and it seems that you can only buy it in the US. I'm really surprised. There must be thousands and thousands of people with GERD/heartburn/ulcers/bladder pain that can't drink regular or even decaf coffee but reviews on Amazon say they can handle the low acid ground coffee. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places but I can't seem to find a single company that ships to the UK or a UK or European stockist! Amazon does sell some that I could buy but it's 4x the price that it is in the US and shipping on top of that- it's crazy expensive!! any advice/help/info much appreciated

    Beans of Indonesia

Hello everyone, My first and hopefully not my last post here As I come from a mixed background (English/Italian and Indonesian) it has almost been ingrained in my familys DNA to love coffee, or known in Indonesia as Kopi (very original!) Spending pretty much half of my life in coffee shops or drinking coffee I was frequently asked "why don't you just open up a cafe?" That I felt probably wasn't a route for me and felt more inclined to lean towards the education of coffee and its essence. So recently I have started to delve into the realms of coffee beans, roasting, sourcing, growing etc.. Its been an interesting journey so far and have been fortunate enough to be connected with some great producers, roasters, and genuine coffee connoisseurs. I shall be attending the London Coffee Festival on the weekend of the 8th/9th April 2017 and am really looking forward to it. I have had some positive feedback so far on the beans I have sourced from Bali, Papua, Aceh (Sumatra) and I am looking forward to receiving more green beans in the near future. Next month also sees me doing my very first coffee documentary, the idea is to get as close to the beans as possible and put people right in the picture. Should things go well I will also be looking at putting together coffee tours too. If anyone would like to try some of the beans I would be very appreciative for their opinion and feedback. Thank you for reading and I wish you all a great weekend! May the force be with you. Jeff

  11. Have you seen the new Facebook App? - Coffee Addict There is nothing scientific about this - but it's popping up on many of my friends pages.
  12. Hello can any one help me? For better or worse I really like Tim Hortons coffee (when made at home). Unfortunately it costs and arm and a leg to buy in the UK from specialist shops or from ebay. Does anyone know of a coffee readily available in the UK that has the same flavour? I have tried the obvious Starbucks and Costa, but it doesn't hit the mark. Thanks in advance Scott

  14. Hello all! My name is Gavin and I am coffee mad. About to launch an app called Qoffee®, totally buzzing about it and visiting so many coffee shops to and from my place of work (not coffee related). Love an americano in the morning and then a flat white further on through the day.
