  1. Hi guys, I was hoping if anyone has figured out or encountered a problem with this machine "Franke Pura". This particular model has a milk refrigerator attached next to the main machine. My office, serving about 80+ staffs, was frequently bombarded by trouble at the coffee machine, and I thought the admin staff might appreciate some help from us, coffee enthusiasts. One of the most reoccurring problem would be that the boiler always doesn't reach the required temperature and prevents the machine from heating up milk. Apparently, in my thoughts, there are 2 boilers in the ma
  2. Sorry, I know this has been done a few times. I've decided to get my mum a B2C for Christmas and I want to make sure I make the right choice. She uses fresh beans. I wouldn't say money was no object, but I'm looking for something decent (but simple) that I could also enjoy when I'm round there. I know Melitta is a name that often comes up, are these the best option? Which are the best models to go for? Anything else to consider? Also, where to buy? Thanks.
  3. Hi All I have been asked by a local school PTA about a suitable B2C machine to use at their fundraising events (eg the school sports day). They want to be able to offer something better than instant, but not brewed coffee. Would probably only get used 15-20 times a year; but might be doing 50-100 drinks each event. A lightweight domestic machine wont be up to the task, but nor do they have unlimited funds to put into a heavy duty commercial machine. Any recommendations on makes/models/ball-park budget would be appreciated. Maybe there are even options to hire such machines. ps - it
  4. Hi, I know this will sound a bit odd but, here goes. I'm wondering what I might expect from a Bean to Cup machine when compared to a dedicated and dialled in espresso machine. I have a Silvia paired with a mignon which works really well but it currently lives about an hours drive from where I find myself. I was wondering whether a bean to cup machine could give a comparable result with less hassle -which I guess is the main appeal. I don't add milk so foam ability is not really a factor. Looking around I see good reviews of Melitta's but unsure of the pros and cons of
  5. I'm an enthusiastic amateur when it comes to my coffee drinking I'm slowly coming up the ranks from Cadet Nescafe through Private Nespresso and up to my B2C. I have an old B2C Jura C5 and I love the old girl, firstly maybe I should let you know I only drink expresso so no need so a super foamer (if super foamers exist, if not I'm sure there is a gap in the market) or anything else fancy. It's done me well for the last couple off years, it saves space, is quick to use, clean and makes better coffee than the local Superbucks down the road right from my kitchen. Due to the newest additi
  6. Hello, I need to buy a coffee machine for a (very) small office. It is important that it can serve cappuccinos. What matter is: reliability, easy of operation, quick (i.e. not requiring an employee to waste much time). Thus, an espresso machine + grinder is not an option. I have read through dozens of topics on this forum, but none of them has really addressed my questions. What options do I have and what are their pros and cons? The following are my thoughts. Do you agree? (1) All-in automated bean-to-cup machine The easiest solution, but also the most expensive and most faul
  7. The ritual of making a cappuccino manually on my Gaggia Classic is beginning to get a little tiresome. So, I'm after a bean to cup machine, at the expense of quality. All I want it to make is a decent cappuccino at the push of a button (incl. auto milk frother). However, I am completely at a loss as to which machine will be adequate. For example, both DeLonghi and Jura have a myriad of machines, right across the price spectrum, all with almost identical specifications!? My budget is upto around £1k, but obviously don't want to pay for fancy features I will never use. Anyone have reco
  8. I am selling my De'Longhi bean to cup machine as it's just not getting the use it deserves - RRP of new is £799 although it usually retails for around £400. Same as model here so you can get all the spec... https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00L6AXP4Q/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Makes really good milk based coffee drinks with no hassle at all. Bought about 2.5 years ago and serviced 1.5 years ago and regularly descaled and cared for. £200 + delivery which will probably be about a tenner... More photos to follow...
