For sale is this Vintage French Coffee Bean Roaster with real character and history. I acquired this little gem from an antiques shop in Brittany, France. It is in used condition and in good working order and comes mounted on a wooden plinth for display purposes and is easily removable by unscrewing the 4 screws which will allow it to be placed over a heat source to be used as it was intended, to roast coffee beans. The wooden carry handles and wooden drum turning handle are the original turned wood components. It features a hinged lid with a removable roasting drum with a sliding door to accommodate or remove coffee beans and a turning handle to keep the beans moving whilst roasting, as the pictures show. There was a little light rust inside the drum due to lack of use but i seem to have remedied this by brushing it out and roasting some beans in it, and the oiliness of the beans have fixed this. I roasted some coffee to check that it works ok and that is as much as i've used it. There is enough capacity in the roasting drum to be able to easily roast 250-300 grams of beans. I will also include 250 grams of green unroasted coffee beans so any buyer can roast their own coffee if so desired. Let me know whether or not you would like me to include the green beans upon purchase. I can't say how old it actually is but it is an antique item and would look great in a traditionally decorated kitchen, or a coffee shop, or just simply use it to learn the art of artisan coffee roasting. I'm sure that someone on this forum will put it to good use and give it a good home. This roaster is for sale elsewhere, so be advised that this thread will be closed if and when this is sold on a first come first served basis. The price for this will be £110 if paid for by Paypal. Or alternatively, if you pay by cash and collect it in person, or pay via the Paypal Gift option then i will reduce the price by £10. These prices are for the coffee roaster only and don't include shipping costs. Shipping will have to be arranged by, and at the cost of the buyer, and with adequate insurance cover for the price paid for this item. I won't be responsible for any damage that may arise as a result of inadequate postal insurance, i will package it well and i will take it to the post office if you require Royal Mails postage service. I will be available for a private courier to collect the parcel by prior arrangement, or by collection in person from the Isle of Wight. Please take the time to read and understand this advert before you buy. Happy Roasting !! MEASUREMENTS ARE APPROX 26cm LONG, 40cm INCLUDING THE HANDLE, 20cm WIDE, 18cm HIGH
