  1. Hi, My sette 270w looks like it has given up the ghost. I am more inclined to get a refund rather than a repair and risk it breaking out of warranty. So I am in the market for a new / used grinder and would appreciate recommendations. Bit of background... I have a fracino cherub. I usually make 2-3 espressos a day. Exclusively light roasts. Previously had a super jolly, and would want this to be a step up from the sj / sette. Am open to the idea of a used grinder too. So far I have been looking at the atom / eureka 65e. Should I be considering a second hand mythos? Or
  2. For sale is my Eureka Zenith 65e, bought from this forum in October at around 15mths old. (original sale here). Since then I've made 1-2 cups a day. When i bought it, my intention was to get an espresso machine as well, but I stuck with an aeropress in the end. As a result, it's time for it to go. More pictures are available here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZpNM04tvALYAtEYl1 £345 ovno, collection from J32 M62 (Whitley Bridge, in between Doncaster and Selby (or Pontefract and Goole, depending how you look at it). Any questions, fire away!
  3. Easy question really. Is the 75E worth £300 more than the 65E? Thinking of upgrading from mignon mk2. not had it long so should be worth around £225-250. Which means for £350 I can upgrade to a 65E or for £650 I can upgrade to a 75E. Reasons? 1. Better quality coffee! I have started buying better coffee, filtered water, and have a machine that will keep up with a mythos apparently (gaggia classic with mods). I have noticed the coffee I like needs to be fine to taste good and my current grinder, although brilliant, doesn't offer enough adjustment. If I go finer the machine
  4. Well as you know the Rockets internals are basically a Zenith 65E, that has a portafilter / chute light, and the Rocket doesn't. On taking the top off the Fausto, the lights there, just blanked off with a big metal plate. So suffering from light envy, I took mine apart, drilled some holes in the plate, covered it with a nice clear plastic disc to stop coffee grinds getting near the circuit board, and hey presto, 30 mins later, I have a light! If anyone else has a Fausto, an easy 30 minutes well spent ?
  5. Hi everyone, I found that 75mm Ti burr can actually be fitted into 65E with a little mod. Is it wise? Any concern?
  6. I purchased this from Bella Barista nearly two years ago. It has been brilliant and never had a single issue with it. I would throw a very rough estimate and say it's had approx 25kg through it, might not even be that much, burrs are excellent. Most days it's one or two shots. I also have Sage Smart Grinder for brewed so it isn't even used every day. An excellent on demand grinder, with plenty of positive comments on this forum. Single and double shot buttons, continuous mode and even has an LED to light up the PF! It comes complete with everything it shipped with; hopper, lid, grin
  7. I bought this just over a week ago to try and get my other half into 'faff free, on demand' espresso making. But, apparently white doesn't match our kitchen so I'm offering it back for sale. Will accept £350 collected from the Midlands for a quick sale (Coventry / Leicester area) if if posting I would like to get back what I paid £380 photos can be found in the link below.... http://coffeeforums.co.uk/showthread.php?23804-Sold-Zenith-65e-(White-w-small-hopper)
  8. ... take the front off a 65e to get behind the blue screen ? Gave it a clean over the weekend with a good blowout with the hoover (in reverse) and frustratingly somehow some grinds found there way behind the illuminated screen which looks crap and is annoying me when I use it. Or is there a smart way to get at the grinds without totally dismantling the machine ? Lesson learned and beware to other users.
  9. Here's how to clean & keep clean the screen on the 65e / 75e * usual disclaimer * you do this at your own risk all though it is a very simple task to perform & make sure the grinder is unplugged if you do!!! Firstly gently heat the top decal with a hairdryer to soften the adhesive. Undo the PH1 screw Remove housing & undo the 4 PH1 screws holding the board to the housing Inside screen cover can now be cleaned Screen itself can be now cleaned Reassemble & apply some electrical tape around board edge to housing.
