    Attempting jam today. Going to be the remainder of the blackberries and some apples if any in freezer.

    I found some decent jars in Wilko. 200g with twist lid. £5 for 12! Seemed like a good deal to me...

    Success! Got it to wrinkle. Used a spoon that had been in the freezer. Think this one will be good.

    I don’t know tbh. It’s a thing I’ve seen done, while there cooling. Not sure whether it’s supposed to help seal them.

    jam jars and lids are so expencive!
    ive always hunted out the cheapest jam or lemon curd at supermarkets which can be as low as 21p and just dumped the contence out or offer it to the neighbours, run them through the dishwasher..the jars not the neighbours! never had a problem with seals on the lids and works every season for me
