Right, so I'm just starting off in this home espresso thing, and I'm loving it so far! I know the basics of tamping the espresso and what the crema is, frothing and the temperature of milk, how to get a cappucino right but that's really it. I've been very ... incorrect? In terms of some things so far, I've been using a mug to froth milk in! (It does the job, but I'd rather a stainless steel pitcher!) I'm wondering on where's the best place to get a small stainless steel pitcher, a milk thermometer in Fahrenheit, proper espresso cups and the likes. Any help would be appreciated!
My better half is hassling me for ideas for Christmas and since my current passion is coffee related I thought you might be able to help. I am happy with my coffee machine (Gaggia Coffee), grinder (Iberital MC2) and tamper. Any suggestions?
Hi guys, I'm looking out for Coffee Scale and Milk Thermometer for my Barista Express. Are there any particular ones that I should watch out for or any basic one would do. I'm currently using digital kitchen scale which doesn't have decimal points and its' a pretty basic one. Also what other equipment should I get to maintain my machine please. Or a list of thing I need to do with my machine. Will following the instruction booklet that comes with it be enough? As I'm still a newbie I need some guidance please. many thanks. mark.
