  1. I'd like to trial the use of 21g ground coffee for a double espresso (recommended by Caravan in London) . . . but my current non-pressurised basket takes 17.5g max. My questions: has anyone tried this 20-22g La Marzocco basket in a Gaggia Classic? Will it even fit? http://www.coffeehit.co.uk/la-marzocco-basket-21g/p864 I understand that a domestic machine like the Gaggia Classic has it's limits, so wonder if I'm better to limit myself to the 17-19g basket? http://www.coffeehit.co.uk/la-marzocco-basket-17g/p863 Any and all help gratefully received!
  2. Is this the case? We've been told by almost everyone that La Marzocco machines are the best machines? Is this true? We need a great machine for heavy use 7 days a week. What are your recommendations? What are your grinder recommendations too?

  5. We are looking for a service guide or book so we can learn to maintain our own machines. If there are any, where can we get them.
  6. a La Marzocco branded toroid jug 20 oz OK I'm a bit OCD and this is a rather specific request but a while back, when I was druling over the new GS3 machine that seemed to take for ever to actually make it to market and then was way too pricey for me...................but I am sure at the time I saw this jug which looked exactly like the espro, but branded. I have looked and looked but can not find it anywhere now, not even La Marzocco web site, maybe I made it up in my head, if not and you know where I can get one I would appreciate it. Peter
  7. Today I embarked on a coffee crawl around London with my wife as well as Chris Weaver and Ash Porter, to try a number of new establishments and show them what London has to offer. Our itinerary was; Milk Bar (Bateman Street) Fernandez & Wells (Beak Street) Kaffeine (Great Titchfield Street) Lantana (Charlotte Place) Beas of Bloomsbury (Theobald Street) First up was Milk Bar, a regular haunt and a chance to grab brunch (their scrambled eggs and bacon was divine). The home made baked beans looked appetising too... Milk Bar uses Squaremile coffee, ground with a Mazzer
  8. Kaffismiðjan is a cozy café in down town Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland. Founded in 2008, but has a reputation like it´s been around for a while. Serves only single origin espressos and has a La marzocco beauty two group GB5, a Dalla Corte Evolution and two Mazzer grinders. You´ve got top baristas serving you one of the best coffee you can buy in Iceland and it´s a plus that they are all good looking. In the shop they have a pink roaster, only one in the world! And they also have a coffee sch… More...
