A tamper is the piece of metal, most often with a wooden handle used to compress the coffee. Some coffee machines and grinders do come supplied with attachments of a plastic tamper. But these are generally not recommended as it's difficult to apply the pressure required for a good espresso (25-32lb's) Many machines have different basket sizes and so require different tampers. below is a list of some of these: Astoria 58 Astra 56 Aurora 56 Azykoyen 58 Bezzera 58 Brasilia 58 Caramili 58 Conti 56/57 Dalla corte 54 Elektra 58 Faema 58 Futurmat 58 Gaggia 58 Isoma

Hi everyone, I went onto the Espresso Warehouse website and had one of their catalogues delivered. They've got some really good stuff and I have my list ready to order a tamper, Espro jug and other stuff - I have now been told by them that they are a "business to business" company and so I cannot order from them. Does anyone know of any websites which well the majority of their products?

Hi I'm having a hard time finding the perfect espresso cups where I live in Norway. I'm going to London next month and I was hoping to find a store that sells espresso cups (e.g. Nuova Point). Do you guys know of any great stores in London with a good selection of Italian style espresso cups? Regards Gard http://gardkarlsen.com - trip reports and pictures
