  1. Received mine today. Pretty tasty. From Hamburg. Checked my tracking number and it cleated customs in Malaysia at 3:15 this morning. So hopefully early next week it'll be delivered.
  2. Not received anything yet. Also, mine is STILL in transit to Malaysia. Apparently left Heathrow at 5:20am on 23rd December and usually take 5-7 working days to get to Malaysia. Well, today was day 7, but over Christmas... I'll keep an eye on it. Although... Just shy of £20 to send it... Ouch.
  3. Got my Third Wave Wichteln recipient through. Malaysia. Not sent anything to Malaysia before. I guess I'd better check on the customs limitations before I send things out.
  4. Going to bump this. Tried something that a chef friend recommended. Got myself a small round ice cube tray and froze the apple sauce in it overnight. Then plonked a frozen blob in the middle of the batter when filling the muffin cases. Worked pretty well. Still a small air bubble, but no where near as bad as putting in just the apple sauce.
  5. Glad and very surprised that there's a refund going on. Wish they got it working though as the Acaia scales a horifically priced. May take another look at the Brewista v2 scales.
  6. James Hoffman on the London Coffee Festival
  7. I still have my Hasbean in my mug subscription too, and also pick up random bags when I go into London. Origin San Fermin is a favourite of mine at the moment. Also had some Colonna roasted and Barn recently too from Curators Gallery, add to that the bag from Redemption... A bag a week is normal for me, sometimes more, occasionally less. But it averages out. Also depends on what I'm brewing and how.
  8. Ones I've experienced. London San Francisco New York People I know and trust recommend. Melbourne Tokyo Reykyavik Wellingon
  9. Same. No one needs me that wired. [emoji38] It's actually a bag per month for 10 years. Gave me a choice of espresso or filter. My preferred brew method most of the time is filter so... yeah... I'm quite happy right about now. My hay fever riddled youth, spending summers indoors playing on my computers and consoles not looking like so much wasted time now. [emoji6]
  10. Gobsmacked.... No one beat my Cap-man score... 10 years of square mile coffee... [emoji44][emoji44][emoji44][emoji44][emoji44]
  11. Just got an email from Voom. Probably the same on kickstarter too. So the main component suddenly became unavailable. Damn. So that one component forced a compete internal redesign. Ouch.
  12. Decided not to go today. Saw everything I wanted to yesterday and it'll be busier today. Just not feeling the need. Enjoy yourselves everyone. Oh yeah... can no one beat my Cap-man score... thanks. [emoji6] [emoji106]
  13. I can hapilly recommend the Hasbean popup. Just outside Spitalfields church. Inside the LCF.... Square Mile wins for me. Just fun for their 10th birthday. Cap-Man machine, guess how many beans in the hopper, tasting competition and party bags. *no cake though[emoji54]* Coffee Masters area still good. Nice to see the UKBC back there, but again stuck in a silly place. Did see a couple of interesting things. Stagg pourover sets look lovely. Also the new Cafflano Kompresso looks cool. Not sure if I'd ever use it... Layout of the event is still terrible, same areas are far too narrow
  14. Maxwell has the prototypes on his stand at the LCF. They look really nice, but are a touch small for my needs. Will take a lookbat the kickstarter and have a think.
  15. Delays are the norm, not the exception. Starting over though... never a good sign.
  16. Remembered last night that I hadn't got tickets yet. 2 minutes later, complimentary tickets for the industry days sorted. Will probably only go to one as I've got a load on in April.
  17. Assuming they mean American, British or German tank steel. If it was Italian tank steel, it'll all be rust...
  18. How did I miss this thread? 1989 110 Pink Panther - Primarily made of rust. Due to mods and paint job, suspect actually saw sand in the Iraq argument. Needed something with a big load bed, 4wd and cheap. This hit all the marks. Shame it was painted pink... then found out that it was a Pink Panther. 1974 Lancia Stratos - Still under rebuild. Been 7 or 8 years... Can only do a couple of days a month at best at the moment. Things are being bolted back on now though so it's an improvement. Been offered silly money for it, but it's not for sale. Factory built rally car model, but never ra
  19. Enjoyed my all too brief visit last tuesday. V60 of the Rwandan Nyarusiza went down very well on a damp, drizzly day. Will really have to drop in again and try a few more things.
  20. I'm in London on Tuesday, I'll try to drop in. Bit out of my normal caffeniating area, but hell, the underground exists. Need to grab some coffee to send to my Third Wave Wichteln.... and some for me too.
  21. Received mine today. Onetake Coffee in Hamburg. It's very good. Certainly significantly better than the ultra dark coffee I got last year. Those stick things are Bremen Babblers - cough sweets... Linky
  22. Cambridge, Massachusetts for me.
  23. SIGNUPS CLOSED! Will be interesting to see who I get this year. Hopefully not someone in the same country again...
