It's about 2x6 inches. It has a lid but not airtight. I'm just surprised there's not more exact advice on quantity. If I'm mostly drinking coffee at the weekend, unused beans are going to lose taste I'd have thought.

I've just acquired a Magnifica ESAM4200 Bean to Cup machine. The instructions say to fill up the bean compartment but don't the unused beans go stale?? Is there a guide to how many grams of beans to put in per cup?
