  1. Haha, yeah. The plastic box is shocking. Its a cereal container I found that was empty. I'll invest in some decent storage once my bank account has recovered! Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
  2. Just to add my somewhat novice experience. I recently bought a new gaggia classic and a mignon specialists grinder. I'm loving it. I mostly drink lattes and the quality I get from my humble set up is pretty spot on for my taste buds at least. Yes it's a bit of a faff, but I really enjoy the grinding, puck preparation, watching the espresso decant from the head, steaming the milk. It's great! Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks! I'll look them up. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks both. Sounds interesting. I'll take a look Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
  5. Pardon my ignorance, but who are LSOL? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
  6. All fair points. Capacity is a concern so this setup wouldn't work for you. I think you need something more industrial. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

  8. I'm an espresso machine novice, but I recently splashed out on a gaggia classic and mignon specialita grinder. All in about £750 and I'm in coffee heaven!
  9. I find I'm drinking too much coffee, not that that's a bad thing but I'd rather not consume too much caffeine. I'm looking for recommendations of a decent decaff coffee bean to replace the cups I have later in the day. Dark roast preferably and having had the caffeine removed/reduced by natural means if at all possible if that's even a thing. Thanks! Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
  10. A Specialita to go with my Gaggia. Extremely impressed. I'm absolutely wired now having been testing it out haha [emoji2957] Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
  11. machina-coffee.com have all the mignon range in stock. I ordered a specialita from them over the weekend. Hopefully get it in a few days. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
  12. Hi Jack, that's very generous of you. I wasn't aware there was a local roaster in Worcester. I'll have to check them out, thanks for the tip. Yes the Gaggia came with single and double shot standard baskets so I'm set there. I spent most of my free time this weekend researching grinders and went ahead and ordered a mignon specialita along with some beans. Also ordered a 58mm tamper too. Hopefully should have those delivered next week all being well. That's all my cash completely wiped but I'm excited to start a new hobby. In the meantime my 1960's percolator will keep me in good stead until m
  13. With lockdown I've been making coffee in a percalator from the 1960s. Suits me working from home. I love coffee. I don't consider myself a conisuer, but I drink a lot of coffee as I like the taste. Not much in to espresso but rather americano mostly. I have been reading these forums and various coffee blogs for the past few weeks and got more intrigued with espresso making. I took the plunge last week and bought a Gaggia classic. Within a few days I saw the importance of a good grinder. Pre ground is no good. Fine for the percolator, crap for espresso. I ordered a mignon Specialita yesterday
  14. Yep. Just ordered exactly one of those yesterday. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
  15. Hello everyone. My name's Paul from Worcester, UK. I took the plunge and ordered a Gaggia Classic Pro from anothercoffee.co.uk which was delivered today. I've had a couple of lattes using the pressurised basket. Still a beginner! Not bad at all. I've quickly realised though that I need a decent tamper as the included plastic one is terrible. The espresso shot is coming out too quickly for my liking. Will a decent tamper help with this? I'll soon be buying a grinder so in the meantime am using pre ground coffee. I realise this doesn't help either. But for now it's all I have. Sent from
