  1. Wife was moaning about the lack of originality in my design on the loads so made her a personalised one lol
  2. Thankfully they managed to repair mine, was going to be a THR( total hip replacement) but after reviewing they repaired it. Been back on the turbo spinning 16 days after surgery and back on and TrainerRoad, admittedly at lower output, a few days after that. Even taking part in Tour de Zwift just under 6 weeks post surgery. Have bought a gravel bike and not had a chance to ride it yet, apart from my crash, so itching to get out on it. Pics of this to follow lol
  3. Given I’m currently off the bike (kinda) with a broken hip after falling of my new gravel bike ( I have no pics of that) thought I would share a pic of my current summer bike, my Tarmac SL6 and my wife’s Turbo Creo SL e-bike. Stunning bike that I love riding, wife loves hers and keeps me honest when climbing lol.

After a recent fall from my bike and managing to break my hip my wee pooch has been keeping me company when doing my rehab in the back room. She is my wee baby
  5. Apologies never noticed the replies to this. What made me go for my ECM Synchronika over profitec 600........ simply put it was the looks. They are essentially the same machine so it was down to what made my heart beat faster and the ECM is a far better looking machine IMHO. If you were to go with a profitec you would not be disappointed, we tried coffee from both machines and there was nothing in it in both taste and ease of use. One thing I loved though was the joysticks over the valves, I do love the look of the valves but the ease of joysticks for me and my wife swung it. Still love usin
  6. No don’t...... been looking at pizza ovens the past few days. Nothing better than home made sourdough pizza.
  7. For the first time in 5 months I’m not making bread at the weekend, my starter was neglected a bit too much this week ( I’m such a bad dad) so looking more like Tuesday before it’s active enough to use. I’m actually gutted at this, gave my weekends a purpose. Had to make pizza with yeast yesterday..... oh the shame.... hope I don’t have to make a yeasted loaf as well.
  8. Tonight’s loafs are done. 75% Hydration using 20% dark rye. Mouth is watering already...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Couldn’t resist this pic. The standard view whenever we try and eat in our house. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Wow, makes my 2 loafs a week feel a feeble attempt. Can’t wait to see the results. Wish you all the success in the world if you were to open a micro bakery.
  11. What do you all use to store your flour, my 16kg bag arrived and trying to think best way to store it
  12. 2 loafs this morning, finally got some bannetons and a sharp blade. Thinking of the challenger bread pan to make them in as my dish is a bit small for these even at 750g. Still @ 72-74% hydration made with wholewheat, rye and white. Waiting on them cooling to cut in is always the hardest part. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Today’s loafs, please note already eaten half of the first one already. Delicious Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Needing to renew my flour stock, what’s people’s thoughts on Matthew’s Churchill flour? I normally use their Strong white, whole meal and rye for my loafs but was curious about this flour. Thoughts and experiences? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Got into bread making and sourdough during lockdown ( like the rest of the UK by the looks of it). Made loads of normal yeasted loafs, around 6 sourdough loafs, bagels, rolls and a few pizza bases thus far and keeping my loaf hydration manageable at 72-74% Loving it and love reading this thread to catch up.
