  1. 😂😂 that’s for my wife’s drip filter, she doesn’t do grinding (you can take that in any context you want too 😂) Just ordered a Eureka Mignon Specialita to compliment it too 👍
  2. Hundred House Coffee take some beating if anyone is after beans from local Shropshire roasters, go check them out, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Only just seen this post, another Shropshire Coffee fanatic here from a little village near Ludlow called Cleobury Mortimer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Afternoon coffee people, I’m in need of some help in which direction to go with upgrading my grinder. I’ve recently purchased a Nuova Simonelli Oscar II, so now I’m on the hunt to upgrade to something that will pair up nicely. Currently using a La Spaziale Top and have a budget of around £300. I would prefer it to be on demand but would not be fully put off if not. Happy with a second hand machine that needs some work or tlc to bring it back to its best. Just after a great grinder that is consistent and can be sufficiently adjusted so to get the best out of my current bean selection. Thanks in advance Wayne Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks, looks great but collection only which is a bit of an issue at the mo. Much appreciate you sending me the link though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Morning all selling my Gaggia MDF grinder due to needing more space in the house, oh and the wife’s onto me again [emoji849] Well maintained and in great condition. Could deliver locally or meet somewhere (following Covid guidelines) or post if necessary at a further cost https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201117/ec44b14f436bb414827786b308fd0b4f.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Basically, it's a complicated issue. Milk, fruit juice, pop, yogurt, ice cream, cakes, hummus, meat all come packed in plastic...if you are as observant in your purchasing of all your groceries, as much as you are with water, then fair play....I take my hat off to you. I totally agree but we do try and do our bit like using refillable glass milk bottles from our local farm and purchasing meat from our local butchers. Anyways it was only an opinion and like I said earlier I’m being a total hypocrite really! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I hate to be a burden on this post but if there’s one thing I dislike about the whole coffee worlds ethos is that the water needs to be either filtered or free of contaminants. Yes I totally agree that it may make the coffee taste better and will lengthen the life of our machines and so forth but what are we doing for the planet, buying water in plastic bottles or plastic covered filters? Just to clarify and before everyone goes mad, I am too, using filters and so I’m being hypocritical really but it’s just something that does really bug me. So my question is (or questions as it maybe), will using non filtered water make that much of a difference to taste, will this then in turn cost us more money on replacement parts for our machines, would this then create even more wastage in the world? It’s a bit of a chicken and the egg situation but what can we do to help make a difference. Answers on a postcard please Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Afternoon peeps Looking for some input and potential guidance. Having only recently moved over to the Oscar from a Gaggia Classic, I’m fnding a few differentials (obviously I was always going to) I am finding my espresso is tasting fine but not 100% happy on the timing of it etc. So to get to the point I’m putting 18g in and getting 36g out but it’s taking 32secs to do so. Not too far away you say but it takes at least 12secs before the pouring starts. I know the Oscar has a built in pre-infusion set at 1 sec but to not start pouring until after 12secs?? Is this going to effect things even more on a smaller shot? Any help or guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance Wayne Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Now sold! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  25. Selling my 2012 Gaggia Classic due to upgrading recently and I’m not allowed to keep two in the house according to the wife [emoji849] This machine has been regularly descaled and kept clean with regular servicing, o ring and seals changed, I’m even throwing some spares in. It’s had the Silvia steam wand upgrade along with a pressure gauge fitted as seen in the photo’s. This is currently set at 10bars so 9bars through the group head. I’ve had this machine for around 3yrs now and it’s never missed a beat and as you can see has not got a mark on it apart from the normal scratches upon the cup warmer plate which is to be expected. Included is a original Gaggia portafilter, 17g Strada basket, 58mm tamp, 350ml jug, brush, spare seals, o rings and instruction manual. I’m looking for £150 and would be happy to meet locally to save posting (following Covid guidelines) but could post for an added cost. Any questions please fire them at me.
