  1. Thanks again. I'll bring it out of storage and check. Will report back. I can share pics then too. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks Dave. Any suggestion of where or how to begin the diagnosis? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  3. True...simple but quite genius solution. I may. But someone's first hand experience would be good too. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  4. I am presuming it may taste better from what many Forumites say about dual boiler e61s. If someone has tried both it would be good to know. But of course i don't know for sure. Yes I guess it would help to know if the problem is easy to fix or not. Then I could run them side by side and see which wins. Time is scarce so some on the forum may be eager for the machine and the job. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  5. Izzo Alex Duetto 2 I think. You suggest keeping it because of taste of coffee or longevity? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  6. Ok so here is the dilemma that is going to lead to one of these machines being sold and the other kept, so please help. I have Sage DB which is working fine but in need of a refurb. I suspect it needs some gaskets and could benefit from a pump and solenoid replacement. I also have a partially working Izzo Duetto which I haven't got round to fixing for some time. The brew boiler works and the steam boiler doesn't heat up. Should I fix the Izzo to keep or sell it as it faulty and keep the Sage DB? I know its a no brainer for many thay Izzo is much better, but not sure if I am ok with a 30m
  7. Thanks. Definitely I'll get burrs. I just some other issues people had with the k3 with similarities. People saying the bottom burr carrier wasn't tightened in place ot level enough...will try that too. Where's the best place to get burrs or does someone have used but in good condition? 8. Up to you whether you feel like it should be descaled or not as per the 2 previous messages. But remember it is highly likely that Sages recommend descales according to how many coffees you've made. So if you change the water hardness settings, it increases or decreases the shot count before it recommends a descale. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  9. Just bought a k3 for the inlaws to help them along on their coffee journey. The grind appears very poor and inconsistent. To get the shot to choke I had to go almost to the burrs touching and even then it tastes horrid. The burrs definitely need changing but is that enough to explain it? Also is there a new burr with new geometry given how they have changed all their grinders or only one type is available? Thanks. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  10. Looks regal! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  11. Very EG1esque. Yes likely the prices will be equivalent to LW and Monolith. Exciting design though. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  12. Wow sounds incredible...but it is going to raise the price even more, no? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  13. Lol i don't recall any (or much) bad behaviour...on the friendliest forum on the net! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  14. Wow from when we had just begun the lockdown. That's ages ago. Lol all of that was meant to be temporary. Now look at us. I presume everyones coffee intake went up when working from home! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  15. I have been off the forum for some months. Now returning from a hiatus. Anything notable or interesting developments I have missed? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
