  1. Can you post the sellers ad for this?... “Great machine... Well maintained...”...
  2. With the automatic machine you are limited in the type of beans you can put in... No dark or flavored beans... I like the simplicity but I have a taste for dark bean coffee so not an opinion for me... For those of you who have a Brera how easy is it cleaning it?... Any particular part that is a problem or fails?
  3. Yike!... It sounds as if one should not put water into the Classic... What are the alternatives?... Wouldn’t a regular descaling allow you to us water again?...
  4. They all seemed to look like a Borg appendage to me... I settled on a Auber 1/32 and have it double backed taped on the left side of the water lid... Easily liftable to add water... I bought their kit but Auber sells these enclosures alone in 1/32 & 1/16 and ships worldwide...
  5. While your waiting for the parts to arrive go on YouTube and do a search for “PID”... Down the rabbit hole... ;-)...

  7. When you say you are brewing at 96c is that what you have set the PID to or is that the measured temperature you get from the brew head?...

  9. Would love to have the La Pavoni but given the skill and attention it takes to pull a good shot and my inability to function in the morning until I’ve had my coffee makes it a dealbreaker...
  10. Gk36.. I would add some Velcro to the bottom of the PID to adhere it to the water lid... Then when you flip the PID up the lid lifts up too ;-)

  12. So these effects are a net wash!... We are good to go...
  13. It’s a matter of taste... My routine is to listen to the pump... when the pump changes pitch (after 2-3 seconds) I know the pressure has reached 9 bars... that’s when I start my 25 second count... I personally like like a longer pull as the coffee has a sharper taste which my pallet prefers ;-)...
