  1. Happy to report I am now a member of the Elizabethans club!
  2. Thanks for the replies, it does seem like the Osmio is going to be the best option for coffee and general drinking (replacing brita jug I currently use). If only I realised this last month when there was an offer on them. @MediumRoastSteam I'm actually going to end up with same setup as yourself as I have a Niche Zero, which felt like overkill with my Sage but hopefully will shine with the Elizabeth.
  3. Hey all, First off sorry for yet another water question, I've tried doing my research but wanted to get some advice specific to my needs. I'm looking to upgrade from my Sage Barista Express to a Lelit Elizabeth and I'm super excited after finally picking my next machine (was a tough decision between a few different machines). Now my water is classed as hard (201 – 275 PPM), I've tried getting the specific details but struggled to find the value for bicarbonate etc. I'm based just outside of Stafford in the West midlands and severn trent (my water supplier) do list a lot of info
  4. I’d love to try the sweet bourbon espresso, could I get a discount code please. Many thanks.
  5. Hey all, I'm planning on giving bottled water a try in my sage espresso machine for a couple of months. My question is, should I leave the built in water filter in place or is it redundant when using bottled water. I plan on using either ashbeck or volvic. Cheers.
  6. Ahhh, I didn't realise the darker roast could make such a difference. Cheers.
  7. I cleaned the shower screen at the weekend, part of my weekly cleaning schedule now. I am trying new beans which are a darker roast than what I'd normally go for, should have said that in my first post sorry.
  8. Hey Joey, thanks for the reply. I left it for at least 30 seconds and this was the result on the shower screen.
  9. Hey all, Recently every shot I make when I release the portafilter there is a pop and some ground coffee/sludge spills over the portafilter and there are loads of grounds stuck to the showerscreen. I'm only dosing 16 grams, the only thing I can think of is that the beans are quite fresh 5-day post roast. Anyone else have this issue?
  10. I cleaned mine today for the first time in far too long. Wow I did not realise how much dirt could gather under the shower screen, it was disgusting and a big build up on one side more than the other. I had to use a wooden chopstick to pry it off but I am so glad I did now after seeing what was behind it. This will definitely be a regular part of my cleaning now.
  11. I have the same issue with the basket sticking from time to time. Not sure what causes it, I'm running at a 16gram dose.
  12. Awesome, they look great! Good job.
  13. I was, but now you mention it, if you're not going to get much use out of yours and to ur happy to let it go, I'd definitely be interested. Let me know what price you're thinking and I'll get back to you.
  14. Sorry are you talking about a portafilter or tamper?
  15. Sounds good, I'll PM you for details.
