  1. Now SOLD. Thanks Paddy - let me know if you have any questions. Cheers, Richard
  2. I’m not 100% sure what time we’ll be back Thursday evening, so Friday might be better - I’ll also be in all day Friday. PM me and I’ll send you my address. Let’s negotiate in person - I think you’ll be really impressed with the machine. I have a couple of other related bits you might be interested in too. Cheers, Richard p.s. Signal is really poor up here, I’ll do my best to get back to you.
  3. If you wanted to mod further, it’s ripe for a PID conversion, which would take it to the next level. Located in Wickersley (S66) - easy access from either M1 or M18. Only snag is I’m away camping in Edale tonight, though back tomorrow (Thursday) evening if you wanted to come and look. Say, £180 for everything- I’ll try and upload a picture of the naked portafilter and tamper.
  4. Hi PaddySherz, Doh, sorry I didn’t make that very clear. All parts were fitted 12 months ago - the picture shows all the old parts, I just saved them for provenance. Are you interested?
  5. £150, collect near Sheffield. Lovely, regularly serviced, pre 2009 (12/2005) original Milan made machine. Some minor marks, but otherwise great condition. Mods: - Rancilio Silvia wand (original also included) - Brass dispersion plate - IMS Precision shower screen - OPV adjusted New Parts: - Complete new boiler - New 3 way valve Extras: - Blind basket for back-flushing. - Bottle of Gaggia de-scaler All usual parts included, portafilter, plastic tamper, single basket etc. Also available separately - Naked Portafilter (with wooden handle) and 58mm Motta tamper. £40 for both. Could do a deal if purchasing the Gaggia. May consider a courier, but don't have much faith in their reliability.
  6. Thanks for coming back to me, fingers crossed you get a decent box! In terms of collection, I tell them the day and place, both to suit you. Thanks, Richard
  7. Hi, I know you prefer collection, but if you'd put it in a box and let me send a courier, I'll transfer the money by PayPal now. I've been looking at these for a while and I managed to burn out/melt my hand grinder earlier this week, so this would be perfect. Richard
  8. Thanks doughy1968, that's exactly where I got my solenoid in the end. My old classic's now working great - though I later found it also needed a new boiler housing, as the old one was so badly corroded - every shot was full of tiny metal filings. That was priced at £38.99 from here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161962326052 though got £5 off with a PayPal promotion running last month.
  9. Please give me a shout if anyone else fancies selling their Eureka Mignon.
  10. Thanks Dave - I've just ordered both these items from theespressoshop. Fingers crossed! Cheers, Richard
  11. Thank you for your replies. It's definitely level and I always try to ensure that the grounds are evenly tamped, though will watch this even more. When I first stripped down the classic, the shower plate holder was in a terrible state. I cleaned and descaled it, but it's still badly corroded and pitted. I might swap this first to see if the flow evens out, otherwise we'll try going naked! I'd might try this anyway... Wow dsc, you have a Londinium L1! What a beautiful looking machine - I'm trying to find an excuse to get to Foundary Roasters in Sheffield, just to see one in the flesh and enjoy a Londinium shot.
  12. Hi, I'm slowly getting there with my classic - OPV mod, descale, boiler strip down and new solenoid. I can now pull an okay 25-30s shot, but get less espresso from the right spout compared with left over the length of the pull. Is this normal or is there a fault? Or, should I be thinking about a better shower screen (compared to the old stock screen) or even a bottomless group handle? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Richard
  13. I'm not sure, though I saw they were offering a discount for members on here. Do you recommend them? I've previously used Frazer's Coffee Roasters in Sheffield, which have been great: http://www.frazerscoffeeroasters.co.uk/
