  2. Thanks chaps I've replied on the respective thread. Going to go for a new Aergrind and see how that treats me, could a mod please remove this thread?
  3. Thanks HBLP. Sorry Drude I'm going to be 'that guy' and backtrack. Gonna stump up for a new Aergrind as price for that seems in line with bigger second hand grinders and 90% of the time I grind for myself anyway. Good luck with the sale apologies again!
  4. Hi Drude Likely to take this off your hands, just want to wait until tomorrow to confirm the Lido E being sold by another poster has definitely gone to someone else. Will confirm tomorrow here & via PM! Thanks
  5. Aye thanks bud, I was 6 minutes too late
  6. Very understandable, I wish I could justify the price increase over the MBKs. One day!
  7. Hi all, Looking to upgrade my Mini Mill after a faithful couple of years use. Not particularly fussy on model, anything by MBK, Kinu, Lido, Commandate etc etc would be fantastic! Thanks
  8. Happily take that M47 off your hands if its no longer needed
  9. Thanks both for your replies. Interesting to read that I need to step up to another price bracket above to be able to swap between grinds. I think given the fact and that I brew probably 4 out of 5 times with a v60 I think I might go for the aergrind or feld2 to start me off. Once I've saved a bit more cash I'll look into upgrading the electric! Thanks again
  10. Hi everyone, Long time lurker. Apologies for the samey "please help me choose" thread but I am lost in a sea of burrs. I currently have both a Hario Mini Mill & Iberital MC2. I use the MC2 for espresso, the mini mill for everything else. I'm looking to upgrade and my budget is sub £200, ideally more like £100-150. I've done a fair bit of research into manual grinder as I was under the impression you get the best bang for your buck here. I'm still rather lost, so any advice at all would be appreciated. My thoughts/questions so far: Second hand is the obvious way to go right? I was going to keep the MC2 for espresso and just replace the mini mill with a better hand grinder for filter brews, is this sensible or could I replace both with a decent second hand auto for sub 200? If manual is the way to go, are these still safe to buy second hand? Seems like the MBK grinders are the best value in this area? If I go second hand auto, any recommended models? What sort of RRP do I need to be looking at for a decent auto grinder? The Minion is often mentioned here, would that represent a significant upgrade to what I have? Thanks for your time and any advice you give!
  11. What did you use to brew it in? Wanting to try this with something lying around the kitchen but so far I've come up blanks...
  12. About 25 mins for me for milk drinks. But I am slow, I only make them on the weekend. Worth considering the noise of an electric grinder can be very loud, the kids/mrs/flatmates might not be best pleased! I believe some are quieter than others.
  13. Probably lurked about 6 months, I like to do a thorough recce before diving in! (I made this account when I first stumbled across the forum a while ago, but never used it or started lurking thoroughly until about 6 months ago)
