  1. Probably a day or two in the neck. I haven't done a scientific side by side comparison of single dose vs hooper so I couldn't give a good answer which tastes better. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
  2. Hey folks, I've switched between having a hopper part full of beans (at least the neck of the grinder full) and single dosing, both with an ear syringe used to blow out any remaining grounds after grinding. Which method would you recommend for grinding for pourover (or any brew method if the same)? Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
  3. They've got a home brewers course but it mentioned blade grinders and a huge variety of brew methods for such a cheap course (~£50) so wasn't too sure how in depth it would be. I used to work around the corner from PLC so I've had a fair few of their brewed coffees and am a big fan.
  4. Hey folks, Are you aware of any providers around Newcastle that do training other that Pumphreys? I have nothing against Pumphreys at all but wanted to look at all of the options. My home setup is a Compak E8 and V60 but am wondering if it's worthwhile getting better at dialling that in first and learning how to diagnose faults in filter coffee or if I should wait until I've got an espresso setup first?
  5. TK Maxx is a great idea, I'll email BB and if I can't buy a replacement one I'll go and have a look. Thanks for the suggestion!
  6. After letting a newly purchased ceramic airscape slip out of my hand and dropping it onto the counter a few inches away, I'm now looking for ideas for a replacement base / container. Are they available without the seal and lid or am I best trying to learn the art of Kintsugi? Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
  7. It will be worth the wait, I'm sure! I'll keep my eyes peeled.
  8. I'd also like to register interest please if a space comes up.
  9. Received with thanks! Great to meet you Kacper
  10. Hi Kacper, I'll take it for £500. I'm in Gateshead so PM me and I'll arrange to come and collect it. Cheers, James

Can't get your second link to work but I believe it should be: https://coffeeforums.co.uk/showthread.php?11216-Why-can-t-we-get-this-great-little-grinder-over-here
  12. Any ideas of firms in Newcastle Upon Tyne that could supply a refurbished 1-group (ideally DB but possibly HX) or small 2-group commercial espresso machine, preferably including future servicing? Putting the feelers out ahead of an office move towards the end of this year or early next year.
  13. Just in case you weren't already using it while you're writing your X-Paths, you can use the Chrome developer tools to search for an element. It'd save you from having to run a script every time you make a change. F12 for the developer tools, Ctrl (or Cmd) - F for the search bar.
  14. Looking for a new home for my very rarely used Mazzer Super Jolly (probably once a week over the last 2 years, if that). I partially modified it to be doserless but didn't get around to installing a proper guard for the motor. To collect from Leeds or will deliver a short distance away. Full set of photos: https://imgur.com/a/cTJdr Looking for £150 but please make me an offer
