  1. Hey, I found at first my Wilfa did a similar thing but now I’ve used it for a couple of months it seems to have calmed down, think it just needed bedding in! Adam
  2. Hi, I was finding myself in the Filter range of my Wilfa with wild drainage times for my V60, found that temperature was my problem, I was boiling the kettle then transferring it to a separate jug for pouring in. I’m now pouring straight from my kettle, straight off the boil (not gooseneck but surprisingly good control) and my times are bang on the 3 min mark and that’s in the Aeropress range on the Wilfa. Also I think the Wilfa needed quite a few beans through it to settle down, I always grind any old beans through it just to season the burrs a bit more and it seems to be getting a lot more consistent! Hope these random findings help Adam
  3. Don’t usually photo my morning brew, but this is one of those beans that I knew I would love as soon as I got a whiff from the bag! Lovely straight away, slight adjustment needed I think, but definitely fruity!

    Acme cups?

Not sure if it’s any help but Cooksmill sell Inker cups in singles without saucers, ordered twice from them with great service
  5. Good luck all! Never entered a raffle like this before!

    Black Friday

All got a bit wild on the coffee ordering front today, ended up getting a chance to try out 3 new roasters, ended up with 7 bags from Atkinsons, RoundHill and Horshams, working out at an average of just over £6 a bag including postage, not too bad! Now what was that I saw about freezing beans...

  8. Good post day! 4 of each Inker cup and a game of Washed vs Natural from Crankhouse, also my first order from them Adam
  9. Have just signed up! Excited for this great website as well! Adam
  10. I’m afraid my bar towel is nothing more than a shameful microfibre cloth! It doesn’t deserve embroidery!
  11. I find it helps if we’ve just got back from a trip away filled with new clothes, I then manage to fit a man present in!
  12. Happy Halloween! Foundry Finca San Francisco, 19g - 40g - 38s, definitely got hit with tropical, not sure about the cherry yet! Adam
  13. I’m sure I did one of these a while back, however I have since bought a house with a larger kitchen, meaning my coffee space percentage increased! This led to the purchase of a Sage DB, love this! The SJ was ugly and didn’t make the cut for the new kitchen, so I’m told... However the Mignon was decidedly classier and allowed in. A shelf went up to store ‘all of that clutter’ and finally a Wilfa has managed to slip under the radar and landed on the end, there may be some boundary dispute, coffee corner legally ends under the shelf, however I think an agreement has been reached! For now this is the perfect set-up for me and I’m still on a learning curve, now more with the tasting and finer stuff, rather than the technical Adam
  14. I think I need to run a load of beans through it, first few V60’s have been all over the place but that could easily be my technique! Will do a write up on it over in the grinder forum
  15. Haven’t posted on here for a long time due to work commitments, finally getting properly into my coffee nerdiness again and this was a present to celebrate, or ‘what the hell is that?!’ according to the mrs Adam
