First I should say that I am new to the forum, so Hello.
My question hopefully speaks for itself. I live in Vienna, a coffee town, but equipment is hard to source so I have ordered a Gaggia Classic from the UK. The dealer I am using is the only one I could find that delivers to the EU and beyond. That restricts my choice of grinder. I was going to buy Glenn's venerable Iberital but I cannot find one in Austria. I can buy the Gaggia MDF.
Views would be appreciated. Bear in mind that I am an espresso novice (the making of, not the drinking of). I am being partially driven by the notion that I can't offer inferior coffee to Viennese guests (or my in-laws for that matter).
Vielen Dank.

Hello.

I'm looking at building a mobile coffee cart and have been recommended that I go with a machine that uses has gas as opposed to electricty for mobility reasons and to avoid noisy generators.

I'm looking for 'duel fuel' as if there is an electricty supply on location, i would naturally like to option of using it.

I know an english company called Fracino who make these but I've not come accross any others.

Someone has mentioned that lever machines do use electricty but have some sort of internal electrical system which can run off a battery as opposed to an electrical generator?

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

As above, I have found a Used Fracino Little Gem for sale quite locally to me. I'm just after some advice and reviews on these machines as I cannot find many through searching.

I'm not sure what age it is as the advert only really has the Manufacturers blurb and a note saying that it works perfectly. In the pictures it has a very straight steam arm, is this an automatic steamer? I'm guessing this can be switched for a proper one hole wand though? Is there any way to tell the age of this machine, like any numbers on it or anything? I will be contacting the seller to ask more questions but proof of age is always a bonus.

Ive been set on buying a used Gaggia Classic of E-bay to upgrade from my little De-Longhi, they are going from about £90 to £140 on E-bay so for just over £100 more this seems like a lot more of a machine. I will be using it mainly to make milk based drinks, only one sometimes two at once, and the odd bit off light entertainment when guests come over. Would this be a suitable machine to make multiple drinks with?

All advice, reviews and whether you think this is a decant machine and deal or not would be greatly appreciated.

Trying to set up my new Iberital MC2 and a bit confused with the timer. Does the little knob just work over about a 320 degree range or is it continuous. I keep turning it up to get a 14grm dose but couldn't get above about 10. The screw will click and go round again but I am not sure that I should keep winding it clockwise.
When I first set it up I got 14 grms but the grind was too coarse, since fining it down I cannot get the 14 grms.
Anyone help?

Ok haven't posted in ages! so here's what's new. Bodum Granos was a lovely machine but leaked from the group head and was impossible to source parts so ebayed, Iberital MC5 was great but HUGE! ebayed and regained wife's love for moving coffee equipment out of living room :).......customer gave me a new La Pavoni eurobar deluxe and got it set up last week, pressurised portafilter :( but free and a great steamer :)....and a new dualit burr grinder came up at work for £20 so got that and its producing a great consistent gind equal to the Iberital and without taking up a ridiculous amount of room......does anyone know if you can get a non pressurised handle for a eurobar??

Good to be back....oh and I got married....was fun and a little scary.
